SL Meme Maker is a free browser-based tool for adding captions to images and creating memes. It is provided "as is", with no guarantee of availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that it will be error-free.

2. Your content

You are responsible for any image or text you upload or add. You keep ownership of memes you create. By using the Service you confirm that you have the right to use any image you upload and that your creation does not:

• infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights;
• defame, harass, threaten or incite violence or hatred against a person or group;
• contain sexual content involving minors, or other unlawful material;
• impersonate a real person in a deceptive way, or spread deliberate misinformation.

Images you upload are processed in your browser and are not stored by us.

3. Templates and intellectual property

Templates provided on the Service are original illustrations or openly-licensed images offered for the purpose of commentary, criticism, parody and satire. Trademarks, names and likenesses that may appear belong to their respective owners; their inclusion does not imply endorsement or affiliation. The SL Meme Maker name, design and code are ours.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use automated means to hammer the Service or its API;
• attempt to break, probe or circumvent security or rate limits;
• resell or pass off the Service as your own;
• use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

5. Reporting content

If a template or feature infringes your rights or breaches these terms, email hello@slmememaker.com with the URL and details. We review valid reports and remove content where appropriate.

6. Advertising

The Service may display third-party ads. We are not responsible for the content of ads or of third-party sites they link to. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are handled.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SL Meme Maker is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, or from anything you create with it.

We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
